Serious question, what to do?

Here is my dilemma, I hurt my shoulder in May of 2016 working in Grafton, WV (any of you WV shooters live near there?), the recoil of the 30 (30BR and 30 Major) are becoming more than I want to deal with, I can still handle it at this time but looking at the near future. I have the 30 Major (&30BR barrel for the same gun) that I can sell with the Tracker stock ¾” and the BAT M action, jewell trigger (weight is 17lbs with scope), I could just rechamber with a 220 Beggs (or some .224 cal) or another 6 PPC and continue to shoot unlimited in UBR OR I have everything to build a new gun (BAT B, jewell trigger, Kelbly stock) I already have 2 13.5 lb guns for UBR (a 6 Grendel and a 6PPC). Now what do I do? Pass on a great gun to another shooter or re-barrel it? This is the best tracking gun I own, just ask Mike Ezell @gunsandgunsmithing. So to the collective, what would you do, build or re-barrel? TIA

PS This is not a “for sale” add, I really want opinions on what to do and I trust Mike as he and I will make the final decision.

I have the same type of problem you have. Nerve damage in my right arm which makes my hand numb.
I can't feel the trigger due to recoil.
I opted for a 223 with a 7 twist barrel and 90 grain bergers.
The thing is a tack driver minimal recoil and it's good for me.
I'd look into something like that.
Good luck

Be sure that the Shoulder issue with nerve in the arm is NOT really a Neck problem. Many shoulder problems are Neck problems.

The fix involves finding a surgeon that deals with College and or pro Athletes. There are a LOT of bonefide Quacks in the Shoulder business, one screwed me up, another fixed the problem.

To me, there was a lot of difference in recoil between a 6 PPC, 22 PPC, and a 22 Waldog(ppc .100 short).

I fell in 2018, tore my rotator cuff and detached my bicep muscle. The surgeon found three torn areas and said two were from prior injuries. He did the surgery and after 4 months of physical therapy and an additional 8 months of exercise my arm and shoulder was better than it had been in years. I would say it was a 100% recovery.

Not sure exactly what your injury is and weather or not it is treatable, but, I would not hesitate going under the knife again if it allowed me to keep shooting.

Good luck
