Oh what to build

I'm ready to do a new build, we shoot 100, 200 and 300 yards mostly at our backyard club. We have a range that the wind is switchy. The guys I shoot with don't use flags. I currently have a 30br on a rem xr100 that I will sell or re barrel. I am looking for suggestions as I can't decide what would best suite my needs. I also have a 6ppc Panda with a new barrel that I am going to keep as is.

thanks Link

Hard to go wrong with a 6.5x47 Lapua these days.......
Keep the XR and blueprint it, it will be a shooter........

Well if your going to group shoot at those yardages stick with a 6PPC. A 30br is not going to cut it for group shooting. It's a no brainer. If your going to shoot score, build a 30BR with a different action, example, Bat, Rimrock, Panda, ect. Your at a disadvantage right from the start if your going to shoot any 6 in score. I'm going to catch some flack for saying this but just look at the results for either disciple, 6PPC rules in group, a 30 in score. Sure somebody with a 6 can pull one out of their ass and win once in a while, but in the real world anybody who's anybody in score is using a 30. It's like going to the drags and racing your Pro Stock against a funny car.

Jim- you're forgetting about the UBR format. I use a .222 and 6 mm's in IBS score.....I like the extra challenge;)

Your right Lamar. I guess I hadn't thought about that, being so use to shooting the IBS format where the rings are all the same size no matter which caliber you shoot. As far as extra challenge goes, it's a challenge just shooting against guy's like Breeden, Jarvais, France, Cline, ect, you know what I'm talking about. Most of the time you don't have a prayer against competition of that caliber.

A 6PPC would seam like the best choice. At 300y thatis still cery compedative.
