Man guys, If we knew we would have lasted this long..We would have taken better care of ourselfs..You Know, rather than our equipment..GRIN..Guilty, I love my rifles..K22 I was so hot on my 22-250 until I started using "FrankenGun" I built a heavy barrel 243Win on a savage short action..Anyway..I'll PM you ...We should do a thread on getting that [easy lightweight] 3 or 4 point stable shooting platform to the field..The older & stiffer we get... the harder it is to haul all you need to keep shooting straight out to the field...Let's see if we can put this idea in action..Mike In Ct...Who Hunts In Pa...

a couple things... the best shooting set up i have used yet. is a bench that i custom built for a friend that slides into the reese hitch of a truck .. u sit on the tail gate.. it does have a couple jacks on each side if you are shooting a ways out and want to be really stable... and depending on the truck... if it has a topper you can flip up the back lid and give yourself some sun block... no walking .. up higher.. ready to move? throw the gun in the case close the gate and go.... On another note... i went through exactly what you went through with missing your hogs... i would go out hunting... couldnt hit one if it ran up to the barrel... one all day hunting event with a buddy... i missed 14... i got 1.... exactly as you .. next day went to the range... dead nuts on... after about a month of miss haps .. i stumbled upon that the powder i was using ( blc2) was very temperature and humidity sensitive... ( this was in a 223) i swithched powders... and now no more issues... my buddy still comments he thought he was about to watch me take a torch to my barrel that day and laughs his ass off...
