The .236 will destroy SOME bullet jackets. Stick with the .237 to be safe.I am considering a Krieger 6mm barrel. They list two diameters: .236 and .237. I would appreciate any input as to which might be best for a varmint/target rifle.
I'm 99.9% certain that 1000yd records have been recently set with both and shooting the same bullets. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.I am considering a Krieger 6mm barrel. They list two diameters: .236 and .237. I would appreciate any input as to which might be best for a varmint/target rifle.
My varmint gun in 6BR had a Krieger 236 barrel. I wore it out and recently replaced with a 237, because it was in stock at Bruno's.
I only have 115 rounds thru the new barrel, but the velocities are similar to within 25fps, strangely enough, the 237 barrel needs about 1/2 grain more powder to make the same velocity. It may speed up a little. Still working out a load and seating depth, but they booth shoot about the same sized groups.
