Seeking advice

What do you use for de-priming? I'll most likely be purchasing a nice hand priming tool for priming
For my competition brass I use a Sinclair base, punch and a mallet, as I can feel much better what’s happening with it. For all other depriming I have an inexpensive aluminum rcbs partner I think it’s called in one loading room and in my other loading room I have Lee’s smallest little aluminum press for that purpose . For priming I have a multitude of hand primers but considering one of the new fangled ones that screw in a press.

P.S
The T7 has a pretty good depriming setup on them….. much much better than rcbs but the residue from the spent primers are very abrasive!… my T7 is a beautiful piece of equipment so I quickly abandoned depriming on it.

You have 2 reloading rooms?? Must be nice! LOL.. So I have a Browning X-Bolt Hell's Canyon Max Long Range in 30 Nosler. Do you guys think it'd be possible to get a bigger magazine box installed so I can run a higher BC on the reloads? The barrel is a 1 in 11 twist..

My mother is old and not doing well so I have been staying with her. Her place is about 40 miles from the ranch so I setup a small bench in her shop. I do all load development at the ranch but can load here, makes it kinda nice. Can’t answer your question but get online Wyatt’s might make one for the x bolt I bought HS precision bottom metal with detachable clip for a 700 build I did that gave me quite a bit more room than the factory mag

Sorry to hear about your mom! I hope she gets better! My family is still in Oklahoma. I became a Helicopter Mechanic and took a job here in Yuma, AZ.

I'm $150 shy of his asking price.. Been trying to sell some stuff to make up the difference.. LOL.. So why would you recommend the Co-Ax over the T7?
The T7 is a fine machine with 7 stations. The way the dies pop in and out of the CoAx is essentially an infinite number of stations.

I also like the free floating design of the CoAx. The die will center up un the case. The rigidity of the T7 will be as perfect as the tolerances they held on the day they made your press. I have not been able to quantify any difference in runout between the presses, but theoretically it seems to be a better mousetrap.

I do my 223 case stuff on the Redding and the bigger cases on the CoAx so I don't have to change the jaws. I am lazy like that.
I think the seller is including the new quick change jaws.

Either press will be great, but that CoAx there local to you seems to be opportunity knocking.

I think the op would be happy either way,…. I myself like the T7 better for my purposes and I’m to lazy to change out the shell holder on the coax but there both good presses. I see some guys have 6-8-and even more heads setup for there T7’s . I have a couple turrets and probably at some point buy more

I will be getting into reloading for my 30 Nosler and possibly for my M1A Tanker in 308. I've been looking at the Redding T7 press. I like that it had the rotating head and I wouldn't have to remove dies, etc.. Like on a single stage press. Are there pros or cons of the T7 type reloading press vs Single stage or vice versa? I'll be using the Redding Competition Die set for the 30 Nosler and probably the same for the .308. I hope to hear from you guys soon!

like Bat Ras, i have a coax and a T7 and 4 or 5 other presses. also like him if i could only keep one it would be the Coax - hands down- the coax is heavy duty but most of all i like the slide in and out die feature. i keep my dies setting in racks by my press and i can slide one out and another in at least as fast as i can turn the T7 head. no need to spend $, + time changing and maintaining extra turret heads. i always have hated screwing dies in and out. i keep things like bullet puller, decapping dies, expanding madral ect in T7 so they are handy. also keep some dies i use alot in it. im thinking about getting another T7 to put at the other end of bench. im not gonna fart around changing the head on the one ive got. A T7 would have plenty of rigidity and accuracy for what you want to do. you dont need to worry about that. all the above said my first press was an RCBS jr and id always have to recommend a standard single stage press for the first one. I still have and use mine. the above stuff just gives you a few things to think about.

If I can get the funds together, I'll most likely get the Co-Ax! I also wanna go check out Bruno Shooters Supply over in Phoenix! My wife is going to see her sister in TX in May.. I might get in trouble that weekend.. LOL

Ive never owned a turret press. I prefer to focus on one operation at a time. I have a coax and a redding bb2. I compared ammo loaded on both and saw no difference on paper when using exact same load and dies. I changed my bb2 over to lee breech lock and can change. Dies about as fast as the coax. Ive removed the coax from the bench and boxed it up. Whatever press you use, the die is in control once the case is in it. Presses are a personal preference. The only con to the t7 ive read about was play in the turret, but again, the die is in control
