Seating the bullet

I seem to be having a problem seating the bullet and hope someone can help out. .45acp

The problem is that the bullet seems to be too big for the case.
In other words, when I activate the press, the bullet covering, copper) gets pushed over the side of the case.

The diameter of the bullet is .451. What else do I need to tinker with on the Lee Pro to flare the case and allow proper bullet seating?

Thanks,
Acetyl

It's been a long time since I loaded 45 acp, but I seem to remember having
a slight flare on the brass to guide the bullet in. I don't recall how I got the flare but I was using a Dillon 550 Press. Badlands

Badlands, you are correct. You must bell or flare the mouth of your brass just a tiny bit in order to load straight wall cases properly. Bill

I thought the Lee die sets have a die for belling the case mouth and to put powder thru.
My dillon uses a powder die that bells the case mouth.

anyone know how to make the Lee Pro flare the case? I'm sure I'm not tinkering with the right die as this press is "supposed" to be ready to load out of the box.

Thanks,
Acetyl
