While I totally agree with this, I like to keep my LabRadar involved for the information it provides. If I see Es over 30, I know something is wrong somewhere in my reloading process. And, I can not recall any rifle that I have shot that was in tune where the es averaged 30+. For that matter, in tune is generally in the teens or high single digit Es for me.Absolutely truth. It is strange to see a 1/4 MOA 5 shot group have over 100 fps extreme spread and a 3/4 MOA 5 shot group have 5 fps extreme spread but I've seen it happen. The main reason I don't place much confidence in those chrono numbers. My target always wins that battle.
You guys that don’t worry about Es are justified in doing so because you perfected the reloading process years ago before us newbies even thought about reloading. I would never miss my runout gauges, but would feel handicapped to some extent without my LabRadar. YMMV.
