Scott Parker Scale Tuning

Speaking from personal experience, Scott has delivered a quality product in a reasonable time three different times and even expedited one for me so I could use it for the Nationals.
Congratulations. You have been the recipient of one of the finest tuned beam scales available due to all reports I have read. I still stand by my statements and call on Mr Parker to address his past issues personally.
Again, I say to all that have received one of his stellar works, I congratulate you. Too many other reports still have me issuing caution to new customers until Mr Parker addresses the many complaints against his service.
The complaints are many. The reports of his stellar results are many. I have no personal experience, but search results will show I am not without concern. New customers, make your own decisions, and also understand that those that support the work also have the product in hand.

I am not. Due to the many reports of issues reported by others I did reach out to Mr Parker several years ago and was completely unimpressed by his response to my concerns. I therefore did not further pursue one of his projects. To those of you who have received one of his stellar tunes, I congratulate you. From all reports, you have one of the finest beam scales available. If he had a scale available for sale, I might well have purchased one. Based ion numerous searchable reviews, I would never send him a scale to tune for fear of not receiving it back in my lifetime. If things have changed, would suggest Mr Parker present himself for discussion of his past issues.

YUP! you can go on many forums and the same reports over the last 10 years.. 'I prepaid and 6 mos later wont return my calls or emails.. all i want is my scale back tuned or not!' ..but the one thing I havent seen is any kind of public 'wipe the slate clean apology'. All i can think is the indian casinos!

And it isn't all that hard to tune your own scale. In fact I tuned mine with the help and advice of one of the members of this forum.
Me too! 1066! I have done 5 or 6 for friends too. I have one on the rack tha I bead blasted and will powdercoat for fun. All my M5's down to the kernel of varget. What else do you need?

since @sparker has been viewing this thread without comment, I find those is support of his work and this thread suspect. Mr Parker has been irrelevant for several years, Why the sudden support in absence of his comments. Is he in need of more money and asking his past customers for support? I have no answer, but given that Mr Parker is is full view of this and previous posts and has yet to comment, I let you make your own judgement.

Amen.

Given the fact that I am just now viewing this, please allow me to respond in kind.
Many people have waited an egregious amount of time for me to deliver. This is absolutely true. My heartfelt apologies to all affected.

I am always happy to receive calls from my customers and those who are curious or those simply doing research. I am one man, I do all the work, I will not ship anything I’m not happy with. The business side of it has been a shortcoming of mine and I am always learning more about it. Part of the issue is that I work full time. The scales are a hobby of mine. I am passionate about measurement and precision. I know what it is like to wait for all of it: actions, barrels, stocks, etc.

I have been turning down work that either I don’t feel right about or that I can’t deliver in a timely manner. In many cases, supplying a tuned scale is both easier and faster than tuning a scale for someone. Also, such scales that I supply come with a transferable warranty. The value of which has been demonstrated time and again in the classified listings.

In short, I am always wanting to provide the best possible scales. I do not settle for less. I am getting better with the customer service part. Please feel free to contact me:

Wel,l address the part in the past about never returning communications for all those scales you had been paid for and held for many months or more than 'many months' and you might make us all feel better...might but doubtful.

Mir Parker has proved you with you with his contact information. I would suggest that you contact him, his ability to provide a quality beam scale, His fictionalizations are unmatched in this area.

I have a Parker tuned Ohaus10-10 I would consider selling if the price was right.
Since I’ve mentioned that I have an extra Parker tuned 10-10 I would consider selling I’ve had many pm’s inquiring about it. The scale was owned by Walt Berger and sold to him prior to the super shoot by Johanna Gordon wife of Skip Gordon is my understanding.
As for a price.. I have know idea as to the value but I’m open to offers.

I do believe that Mr Parker still offers value, but like he did in the past. Unfortunately, innovation leads us to u past.

One can only imagine that there is no response that would bring you satisfaction, even though you are not a customer of mine.
Given that, perhaps one might simply allow the forward motion of betterment and reconciliation to occur without the persistent pursuits of destruction. Many thanks for your consideration.

not trying to be mean ......but the Chinese scales are JUNK. Sorry but this is FACT! Do your Homework and you will see that the Ohaus made RCBS scales are worth Tunning.
I got a Chinese 5°0°5 by mistake once. It is one of the best scales (mechanically) that I have. I can't take that away from it just because the label "Chinese" can be put on it. While it is mechanically one of my best scales, I do not like the 5°0°5 scales as much as my others. For one thing, they are too light compared to the others.

I have an oil dampened Redding I got from Scott a year or so ago . It is delightful. I mostly use it to check other scales. I also use it to show off it registering a tiny grain of powder.

My transaction with Scott was easy, smooth, and timely.

He has a real job. Scales don't pay his rent.

I wholeheartedly recommend just buying a scale from him. They are cool. Gravity Rules!

We need to start referring to Scott Parker as 'Mr,' Parker. I bow to thee, god of scales

One might infer from the lack of first names and proper introductions, that the signatory simply didn’t want to assume a level of familiarity that wasn’t established. Some people upon finding a $100 bill in the street will complain that Benjamin Franklin was not smiling at them…
