Scope rings 22 benchrest

I just purchased a NF 15-55x52 Competition for 22lr benchrest gun. Now for the rings. Doing some research again on rings I found Element Accu-lite at Creedmoor and half price. These are $100.00, any one know of their quality, etc. I know in the airgun world they seem to be top notch. I also know ARA shoots that just use $30.00 Leapers rings. Or do I just bite the bullet as they say and buy the NF rings?

Very happy with Warne Maxima rings. I have them on three different rifles now and no issues. When mounting a new (factory centered) scope I have been pleased with how well centered the windage has been on target.

If I were hunting Cape Buffalo's with a .400 caliber I would put the most expensive rings I could find on my rifle. Hunting paper with a rimfire at 50 yards the $10 a pair Amazon el cheapos seem to hold my scopes in place just fine

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, Will the cheap rings mar or even dent my new expensive scope? And even then I lap my rings and then bed my scopes for dead zero at 100yd. I've seen a lot of scopes messed up because of cheap rings.

If you are new in this game or only can afford a $20 set of rings go for it. God Bless you. It took me awhile, but I have learned "Buy once, Cry once" is very important in this sport as well as most others. You need confidence in your equipment. I have confidence in the wider mating surface of quality rings. To me it is less likely to damage the scope tube, if torque properly. I have more confidence in 2 screws on each side of the cap rings and check torque regularly. I have had scopes slide, even on 22lr. I have more confidence in quality machined rings for scope alignment so you can be in the sweet part of your scope.
Above all, I have much more confidence in quality machined rings that are made in the USA over Chinese made.
Maybe that's just me.

I don't have any pretty guns or scopes, mine get banged around the gun safe and range. The first thing I do when I unbox a scope or rifle is to pull out my knife and scratch it. That way I don't worry about it getting banged up.

Halfway joking. My rifles and scopes are hardly safe queens though, they do get banged up/scratched up. Most scopes have been swapped around to a number of different rifles, and most bear ring marks. Not a problem though in a couple of years my son in law can worry about that when he sets up an estate sale.

So far never had a ring dent a scope but then I use a torque screwdriver to install them and am careful in mounting them properly.

Seriously, I prefer to spend my money on items that improve accuracy. Be it ammo for practice, a new barrel, trigger or whatever. I have a fixed income and a set budget so I don't waste money on frivolous things like $70 powder cups or $150 picatinny rails. I bet most $100 sets of rings and the $10 sets are all made in the same factories in China on the same assembly lines. Same as the picatinny rails are.

I admit there are a few innovative brands. I have a set of Warnes I am fond of but all my rimfires wear those $10 specials and I now have a number of clean match targets so it seems they work just fine

I think Vortex makes excellent rings. Their Pro series rings are $80. Their best rings, Precision Matched , are $150.

All my rings are American made. I have a few targets too....

Almost all my rings are Vortex/Seekins They work fine and haven't marked up any of my scopes. I do have one set of American Rifle Company M Brace rings that I got with a scope that I bought used. They seem nice, and I like the clamping feature.
