Not only do Burris rings protect your scope but they also give you the ability to optically center your scope at the distance you are shooting by using the plus and minus inserts.I use the Burris signature rings with the inserts on all my scopes, never had a problem or a ring mark on any of my scopes
Also, check out rings made by Harrell's in Salem, VA. High quality. Light weight. Many options for size, height, etc. Even make "offset rings" which I prefer for free recoil BR shooting. Reasonably priced. Great company to deal with and they manufacture numerous other products useful in BR shooting. I also use BKL and Burris Signature Zee rings on certain rifles. Never marred a scope tube with any of them. Use an inch pound torque driver--a must! Not only do Burris rings protect your scope but they also give you the ability to optically center your scope at the distance you are shooting by using the plus and minus inserts.
A optically centered scope is More Better.
