Scope power for F-Class

Hi all
I'm looking to get a new scope for f-class and was wondering what you recommend for max power, 32 or 42? It will be a variable power...

Thanks
Scott

All mine are 42 or 50. I often need to reduce the magnification to shoot through mirage but the magnification is very useful when conditions permit.

Can never really have too much hi end as you can always turn it down. On the other hand, if you aint got it, you cant dial it up.

I was shooting 600 a week or so ago with my SIII 10-50, had it cranked to 50x and was wishing for more. Not often, but sure is nice to have the option...

Just me....

Variable high power scopes in my opinion help you win a match at 600+. I shot a match this past Saturday and was in the same boat as Nodak. The conditions were good so I had my Nightforce on 42x. The mirage kicked up on a half of a relay (ten shots) and I was able to dial down to about 30. I would say go with either a Nightforce 42 or SIII 50x. You wont go wrong with either of them.

Scott, you missed a good match in Eau Claire last Sat. Go with the 42X. I have never used anything below 12x during a match but I have used above 32 very frequently.

I agree ++++ on either or both of these having one of each.

The only time my NF BR 32 isn't on 32x is when the mirage gets swimmy and I dial it back a little. I don't think it has ever gone below 28x

I use 42 on both my F-class scopes. If there was a 100x power I would use that.

March makes an 8-80 power scope, if money isnt an option, I dont know how there could be a better F-class scope than that one.

I'm convinced that if I could afford an 80x March I could see the future.

Yepper, cant go wrong, I got em both, love em both. Only thing I find negative in the most minor way is, when using the NBR, I am wishing for the side parallex adj that I have on the SIII. When using the SIII, I find myself at times wishing for the reticle choice in my NBR.

I would already argue that the March 80x scope is the future. ( I already said if money wasnt an option).
