Scope Options - Target turrents

Bit of background first, I have a Cooper in 204 with a Weaver Grand Slam 6-20 and a Tikka T3 with a Bartlein barrrel in 6br with a Bushnell 6500 4.5-30*50

At 500m the Weaver Gdand slam doent give up anything to the Busnell, in fact I think it has a better sight picture than the Busnell! Clearer, sharper, thinner crosshairs.

What I'm looking for is a new scope with target turrets so I can dial in my drop easily. I'd probably be quite happy with another grand slam but they only have 6"/100yds of adjustment per revolution and small turrets so the marking are not easy to read

My budget is us$400-600...maybe 700 if I'm getting significantly more scope for hte exta $100.

Both the new Weaver Superslam and Busnell 6500 tacticals look good, but the Weaver is a First focal plance, and the Busnel only comes in Mill Dot reticle which doent interest me.

So whats my best option in minimum 20 varipower with target turrets worth looking at for shooting a 6br out to 600yds.

Cheers

Grant

It's hard to beat Leupold
Buy a really good scope once and enjoy it from now on. Not many Bushnells and Weavers winning long range matches. Just my opinion -from a guy with not great eyesight.

Check out the Sightron SIII LR 8x32 it's lots better than any of the current Leupolds, Not to many of them on bench rest rifles these days either, mostly Nightforce or March scopes these days.....

+ 1 there, my man!

The Sightron SIII 8-32 has amongst the best resolution in the business and offers great value. They're selling very well over here in the UK too against Nightforce.

I sure do wish Sightron would offer a true target turrets on some of their SIII models, I'd sure be willing to pay extra for them. Yes I know that they track extreamely well as they are but they would be so much handier when your clicking various range target such as found in the p-dog towns.

just been looking at the Clearidge XP5 4.5-22 * 50 on the OpticZone web site

Nice looking scope, tactical style turrets, 1/4 clicks

Anyone had any experience with these?
