Scope Mount with external elevation?

NC/Br Shooter

Silver $$ Contributor
While looking around on YouTube, I was watching an episode of Mark and Sam after work.
Mark had a some kind of new mount he was using that instead of adjusting the scope for elevation, you adjusted the mount. The mount I believe has its own rings. In this case if I remember correctly he was using his on one of his favorite.243s testing a new chassis. They love to shoot ELR out Queensland. And I have reached out to them. With no response. Like I say, this was an episode from several years ago and I probably will try to reach out to them again. It might be somethingcto do with email.
I'm just asking here because I'm sure there's more people here see this question than on some YT video.
The mount innovative and would be useful to be able to use a scope where the turret is stuck. I have a hi dollar scope that went south on elevation turret and no hope of warrantying the situation
Thanks

Mark and Sam use an Eratec mount.

However, there is a limit to the elevation available - when they are shooting in Western Australia, they can't hit steel in Queensland. Do have a look at his "work" videos - he build race engines and very quick road cars.

I haven't seen the other channel but on one episode I saw their shop where they worked on those cars.
I'd like to see them bring out the 22wrm project again. Those 22wrm heavies where interesting.

Last I checked these where unobtanium from Eratac. I think I tried to get one about 6 months ago maybe and had no luck finding them in stock for sale! Are they back in stock now?

With the popularity of long range rifle, (both target and hunting) these days, I'd almost bet that there will be new solutions for added trajectory with fairly simple and inexpensive mounts. jd

I’ve used the Era-Tac on a couple of rifles and they work well. They are not designed to be a field dial device per-se; they are a cam type system where you can loosen the pivot and cam bolts to rotate the cam for incremental elevation gains. Once you have the incline line you want, tighten the bolts down, make any necessary adjustment to your cheekrest and you’re ready to go. I found the rings to hold the scope well without marking the tube and my incline adjustments to be accurate and repeatable.

Euro Optics usually has inventory if you’re interested in more information
