Scope for under 600

Was wondering what scope you all reccomend for shooting a 22-250 browning X-bolt white gold medallion in maple with octagon barrel . I'll be shooting mainly steel and paper with occasional varmit under 500 yards. Any help is good help

Athlon Ares Btr, now about 1/2 price at midway. Good unit. They are coming out with a new 2020 model so these are getting blown out. FFP, zero stop etc. All the features. I own 4, 1 on a 338 Lapua, no issues.

Sportsman WH Vortex Viper 6 x20-44 SF. 299.00 They had them on sale last week of 269.00. I have four of these, 17Rem, 22-250, 223, 6.5CRM. first I don't like big Obj lens, just me. Also a Viper 4x16-44 on my Pre 64 Model 70 in a 300WinMag. Warranty is BEST no questions.

For 600-650.00 keep watching the classified optics section. You'll find a Sightron SIII 6-24/8-32 LR target scope in that price range. Tough to beat Sightron's SIII models at around 800-1000.00.

midway USA caries the Weaver tactical FFP mil-mil with enhanced mil-dot reticule. it is $750, but they usually have a promo code on hear for $50 off. this is a very good scope for the money. what is your reason for wanting a 30 power scope. more power is not better on cheap scopes.

Man I just can't find anything in his original post about wanting a 30X scope. Shooting out to 500 yards is all I could find. Am I missing a post. Definitely higher power in low quality optics do not go hand in hand. You are right IMO, stay lower in power if your staying lower in price. 600-650.00 will buy good enough quality to go higher in magnification...especially a good like new used scope

For targeting out to 500 yards, your giving up a lot by choosing a 3-12 power scope - IME
"Aim small, miss small"..... is better executed with magnification.

And wow..... you likely drifted well beyond your: "under $600" question.

Paid 600 including shipping

Sightron SIII used for $750 even $700 sometimes...Its way worth the extra $100...I have done this a few times.

I have the Sightron STAC 4-20X50 MOA.
Does fine to 1,000 yards.
But i've taken all my other scopes out to 600.
All those being 4-12.
Can i hit the target, yeah.
Know exactly where & be able to adjust, no.
Hit steel, sure!

Perhaps an Arken 4-16 would be a reasonable choice.
If not that, i'd stick with Sightron.

Give Lancexxx a PM!
He'll treat you right!

I have a Leupold 6.5 x 20 x 40 AO set up by Premier reticle. Excellent repeatable windage and elevation with
1/8 minute target dot and target knobs. Getting ready to post it at $500 + $20 shipping. Let me know if interested and I'll send pictures. PM Lindy
