I have a Vortex 5-25X50 PST II. I took it off my 6.5CM and I'm going to put it on my .22. What distances can I plan on shooting out to? My 22 will have 20 MOA rail and I'll be shooting Center X and the SK red and yellow boxes right now. I'm hoping I can zero at 25yds and shoot out as far as I can. The 24" gong at 500yds would be the farthest if my scope lets me dial up that far.

I'm also willing to buy a 30 MOA rail if that will still let me zero a 25.

Those have been endorsed by Top Long Range shooters of late.
I question that much power at shorter distance but I’m told the glass is Excellent with a capital E..

Yes, I'd want a variable for shorter distance. Might even be a tad much for 50 yd, for some preferences.

And its arguably the best glass you can get at that price point.

If you have or are looking at a CZ .22lr, be aware you may need higher rings to clear the open bolt handle which otherwise is going to smack against the scope each time it is opened.
