Schultz & Larsen ???

I just picked up a Schultz & Larsen M62 single shot Target rifle. I believe it is a 300 meter Danish target rifle made in the 1960s or 1970s. I am looking for any information I can get on this rifle, there is very little on line. This beast is a TANK and must weigh in at over 18lbs. The craftsmanship is better than I have ever seen, even compared to most custom rifles. The rifle has an interesting way of “setting” the trigger. You have to sharply pull forward a second trigger opposite the standard. It came with 2 trigger groups and they are both fully adjustable and feel amazing, one of the two is very very light. The serial number is 6077 and I have not been able to find out the actual date of manufacture. Anyone know anything about these rifles. Were these made to order? Any information would be appreciated.
thank you for the help

Previous manufacturer was in otterup, denmark from 1911 to the mid 1980's. What would you like to know if I can help you.

Google this: Schultz and Larson model 62 dates of manufacture, once you are there go down to the fourth available link to find out what you have on gunboards.com Those fellas know these rifles and can probably date it.My guess is it is from the late 60's to the mid 70's.

My big issue is the chamber. I have tried everything up to a 190 match king and i cannot touch the lands. This has a LONG throat. Should i have this thing cut down? its very odd every other target rilfe i have has a very short throat.

The rifle is New It was made in the mid 1960s but was not used. There is less than 200 rounds down this tube.
THe rifle is chambered in 30-06

It was a catalogued item and listed in the '66 Gun Digest for $265 with an additional trigger group for 25.20. It was listed in 6.5x55 "or any other standard caliber". I had one of these in 6.5x55 and the throat was long in it also. Mine had a 1/8 twist (approx.) and was very accurate with 140 SMKs. It had both a double set and single trigger group with it. The double set could be set extremely light. This rifle was not list in the 64 Gun Digest, for what's it worth.

WOW that is a lot of gun for $265 even in 1966.
This thing is made like a swiss watch. I have seen custom guns that are not as nice as this one.

I had one of My Buds Give Me a Action and I have been fooling around with it . I am making a 6X45 out of it .
This is for one of My Grandkids

I just came back from working up some loads and shot it out to 200 yards. First load tried was a 190g boat tail seated wayyyy out in front of a stout load of 4064. This rifle did amazingly well. 3 rounds were just about touching. It looks like that is what it likes because it was the best of the day. This rifle may be old school but it is a keeper. It did no worse than any of my custom rifles and better than most.
