Schultz & Larsen Model 60 in 7X61 S&H

Hi all !
Another new to these rifles guy here.
I have on the way a Schultz and Larsen model 60 in 7X61 S&H.
Serial No. 5577
Much like everything else I've collected, I try to connect it to a date of manufacture.
Is there anyone that knows, can point me in the right direction, or assist with any information related to these rifles ?
Thank you all in advance !SCHULTZ & LARSEN 8.jpg

This model is known for its unique caliber and is appreciated by collectors and enthusiasts, although it may have limited res

Very fine rifles. The rear locking lug setup is not the disadvantage many claim it to be unless you exceed published load data. Some of the old data is too hot. The 1 in 12" twist rate is on the borderline for stabilizing the longer heavier bullets like the 160s and 175s, but they are worth trying if that is your preference. They may do fine and may be plenty accurate. If not, try 140s and 150s. I've had best results with H4350 and H4831 but some other powders may give you a little more velocity.

Use the newest brass you can find. It will have "Super" on the headstamp, beginning about 1968. It has greater internal capacity than the older brass. Definitely don't use newer data in the old cases. There is very little ballistic difference in the slightly more efficient 7x61 vs. the 7mm Remington Magnum.

I had a model 60. Sold it years ago. Had a 65DL that I rebarreled to 300WM. Sold that gun also and miss that one a lot but had no choice to sell it.

Right now rebuilding a Model 65. Made a new barrel for it and keeping it in 7x61S&H. Made a new one piece scope mount for it also. Look forward to getting that one finished.
