School shooting

That has a lot to do with it, Plus, their lack of respect for others, which goes beyond how the parents are teaching and showing an example in the family life. The majority of video games are violent and they play them daily, so it gives them ideas too play out. It is a sick world, we live in, in todays society.
I wouldn’t be so fast to blame the video games, I played call of duty growing up and continue to play it now as a way to unwind. I think the real difference was that my parents installed a respect for other people and a very strong, moral sense of what is right and what is wrong.

I graduated from HS in 1964. NEVER in my wildest dreams would anyone have thought of doing fatal harm to another student. Todays events are just beyond belief. I don't have a clue what yr the first school shooting took place, but apparently since it got a lot of press, it's been a case of monkey see monkey do ever since. We are living in sad times. LDS

Guns are accessible like never before and are now commonly used to settle disputes, get revenge, etc.

Children are shot in this country almost every day.

It takes a major event like today’s to even make it into the news.

God help us.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Chris Hosey in a Wednesday news conference identified the shooter as Colt Gray, a 14-year-old student at Apalachee High. Hosey said Gray will be charged with murder as an adult.

Looks like Georgia is bringing their "A" Game.

Prayers for all involved.

1984 for me, otherwise the same, and we had guns in the gun racks of our trucks. Seen differences settled in the parking lot with fists within feet of loaded guns but no one ever thought of gunplay to settle any score or prove some point.

The FBI knew about him after the shooter made an online threat including pic's of guns May 2023, nothing became of it. Perhaps that could be construed as a problem. Wonder if he was on meds and if they had been tweaked lately. Johnny Noveske thought there was a definite connection between meds and school shootings, just saying. It is a damn tragedy for certain and they always seem to happen when the democrats are trying to make a point.

I think that every reason for this madness has been mentioned in the above posts. Add those reasons together, and you have the cause of the madness.

Anyone who spends a little time watching the news can see what a shit show our society is these days compared to fifty years ago. Nothing would surprise me, and I wouldn't be surprised to see cats barking and pigs flying.

Faith in God is at a lower point per capita than ever, and Satin loves it. God's two most important commandments are to love him with all our heart, mind and soul, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. These commandments are largely unknown by the majority of our population -- how's that workin out?? jd

I completely agree. In the early to mid 90s I can remember video games just starting to get graphic. I can remember several elders saying that this will be a big mistake and cause kids to become desensitized to violence. Took some time but they were spot on.

In Michigan we put the kids away for life and the parents get 15-20 years. Look up the Crumbleys. We don’t play in Michigan.

It’s not just kids, it’s not just an election year, it’s not just socialist or fascist.
It’s been going on for years, just not as many before social media
