Savage Time and True-Accuracy benefits?

I am putting together a 7 SAUM on a savage long action, and I was wondering if you guys think it is worth it to have this action trued up? I don't shoot benchrest competitions, but I do want to get the most accuracy that I can out of this rifle. I know that a Time & True job can make the action cycle smoother, but I am wondering if I would see an appreciable improvement in accuracy?

why do you say this? I am not doubting you, just curious. I had thought about shooting it stock, then if it didn't perform well, sending in the action for T&T. Maybe this is a bad idea?

If your not compation shooting I doubt that you wounld need to have it tuned. Bedding the action might be worith it, but you can do that anytime.

Save your dough.

I have shot a couple of each and don't see alot of difference in smoothness (none in accuracy they all win) although I would say installing a bolt lift-kit would help a little for not alot of money if yours is on the tight side. Some factory actions are smoother than others too and is luck of the draw.
I find that on a Savage putting your thumb on the rear of the bolt as you push forward seems to eliminate binding instead of forcing it in sideways by pushing on the bolt handle.

sounds like no one so far has seen a measured difference in accuracy? For 125 dollars I can live with a little harder bolt lift, but an accuracy improvement would be worth it to me.
