Savage Target Action

I bought a new Savage target action it has 3 holes on the bottom side.My questions are Do I need to use all 3 to mount the action on the stock ? And Should I pillar bed all 3 or just the 2 forward of trigger guard?

This is my first time doing this so I have a few questions any tips would help.
THANKS, Dave G. ???

I have a couple of three screw receivers that I have bedded. I bedded all three screws and find that the front two screws do most of the work with the tang screw doing the final tweeking. If you do not want to bed the complete receiver I would bed the front two, and I believe you could let the tang screw float.

I have had good luck free floating the whole rear "tang" area of the action. Not allowing it to touch the stock at all, so that I can pass a piece of paper all the way around the area between it and the stock. Savageshooters.com is loaded with stuff for savages.
