Savage smokeless muzzleloader

Well I'm not going to look away ;) My smokeless 40 is currently burning 104gn of 4350 and hucking a 300gn bullet at 3000fps and it's got room to run faster if I want :)
It’s not the size of the load it’s the heresy of duplexing

If you really want to improve your SML performance, go bullet to bore. I shot the Savage 50 cal for many years. Sabots were the limiting factor to desired accuracy and distance. I am happy to talk to you about my SML journey, if that helps.
You can find a ton of info on Hank's Message Board.

Tons of info on the MML & Doug’s Pro Board forums. But for wiw I’ll share my 10Ml , 10ML2 experiences. Qty 6 over the years. Still have two in OEM config.
My go to start ( will it shoot? ) was always a Hornady 240 or 250 XTP and sized accordingly MMP sabots. 41~44gr 5744. Shot great. About 2100 +/- avg fps.
Then to the FTX series. Same sabots HPH 12’s or 24’s as needed.
Never needed to wait long periods between shots .But don’t let the barrel get warm. Heat and sabot issue.
Try some Fury’s Startips.
Question.
What kind of groupings are you getting?
Unless I missed it you are using sabots?

I have owned a 50 cal and currently have thae same gun fitted with a Pac Nor 45 Cal. in my experience without getting into the loads, yet. The condition of the bore fouling makes a hugh difference. I found I could shoot one shot clean with a dry patch and repeat for no more than 20 shots before a deep clean.
