Seems like this kind of Savage beating comes up once a month or so. It gives me a good laugh. Some can not get past the Accutrigger once they have shot a Jewel. ;D I on the other hand have both and others, will continue to shoot them all. You cannot compare one to the other, that would be insane. : Carry on, this is good humor. ;D

Couldn't agree more. Like comparing a factory Chrysler Hemi to one that rolled out of Ed Pink or Keith Black's shop.

Yes I am....never got it out of my system either......could have mentioned Roger Coburn or Tim Beebe but then I'd really be dating myself.

The action will do ok, but even aftermarket triggers are not half as good as a Jewell trigger.

I've seen far more rifles broke down (DNF) or disqualified for AD from Jewell triggers than I have Savage triggers, factory or aftermarket either one.

That said, as much as I like my factory Target AccuTrigger, I wish there was more depth to the aftermarket trigger selection for Savage actions.

Maybe because the Jewell to Savage ratio on firing line is about 100:1?

What's the break down ratio? 25:0? :

I have never had a Jewell go bad on me. (knock on wood). And they remain consistent on the desired pull weight of 1.5 oz.

Anyway, like others previously stated, it's pointless to compare the quality of a Jewell to a Savage trigger, they both are what they are. The Jewell is one of the best you can buy, and the Savage is... well, it's a Savage.
