So I bedded my action last night..You can see where this is going..haha..I have never done a savage before..I took my time planned it all out..And didn't research the magazine box..I didn't know it was removable so I left it on now it's part of the stock..Not really but it's stuck in there. Also the damn part is discontinued..Didn't know that either ..
I have a savage model 12 with the top bolt release, left hand it's been converted to 17 Remington fireball , the stock is a choate ultimate varmint stock..
Originally the barreled action sat in the aluminum bedding blocks crooked so I was able to correct that and the bedding job it tip top for me..
So when I was removing the action the internal box magazine riped off the rifle and I broke the little tabs that hold it in place..So I need a new one..
As for now I just left the mag in the stock and put the gun back together.
I figured since it's at the proper position I'm good to go till I get a new one.. Problem is I can't get the single shot follower back in the mag well ..I can get the factory follower in but not the other with out bending something..
So if any one has a internal magazine they can sell me for a savage model 12 I would be forever grateful..Or can send me a link to one for sale..I checked numrich there sold out..
