Savage Mod 25

Not in .222. I have or have had the 25 in .17 and .22 Hornets with both stocks. I'd skip the synthetic "Walking Varminter" and spend a little more for the superior C-Z 527 American; the laminated Savage would do if you need more barrel and stock, as C-Z doesn't make a .222 Varmint. :(

RECEIVED ONE TODAY SAVAGE MOD 25 222 CLEANED SCOPED IT 1st LOAD 1/2'' RIGHT OUT THE BOX 22GRS H-322 53GR SERRIA MATCH.I THINK THIS THING GOING TO SHOOT BUG HOLE GROUPS.

I bought a model 25 in 22 hornet. Shot 1 inch groups with factory ammo at 100 yards....So far with reloads I have been able to at least match the factory stuff. I'm going to try and find a load combination for a bit more accuracy. I am happy so far with this rifle.

Thanks Stacy. I will look into that and also want to try the 35 grain v-max also. Seems very hard to find any 22 caliber bullets for sale anywhere right now but as soon as I can purchase some some where I will be a reloading mad man...LOL

Stacy...found a friend with a few 35 gr. vmax. I worked up a load with lil-gun as you suggested and yes my rifle seemed to thrive on exact amount of powder as yours! 13.5 grains and .7 inch groups at 100 yards. I am very happy with this so far. Next time I go out I want to check velocity but very happy so far! I see this little walking varminter is going to be a lot of fun this year if I can get some more bullets!!!

Went out today and did a number on the few prairie poodles that decided to come out early for awhile. I sent a bunch of em 2 and 3 feet in the air with this little model 25 in 22 hornet. Got me laughing like a 12 year old. Great accuracy for the amount of money spent for sure! I'm about out of bullets and am going to have to wait till there are more available. I want to do some more range work on loads but accuracy is good enough for minute of squirrel and I couldn't wait to snipe a few today......LOL

AMAZED just how this ugly little rifle shoots

22grs H322 52GR BERGER SHOT .210 5 SHOTS

22.2 H322 52GR BERGER SHOT .230 3 SHOTS

23GRS AA2460 53GR MATCH SHOT .233 3 SHOTS

ALL LOADS ARE W/CCI's 450M
