Savage Magazine Conversion?

I put together a Savage short action rifle and used an HS Precision Pro Series stock. I love this rifle! The one thing I would like to change right now is the feeding system. I'd like to convert it from the blind magazine to a regular magazine. The rifle is a staggered feed, 4.27" spacing model. The stock has the aluminum bedding block so that may make the conversion cost prohibitive. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated!

Jeff at CDI will do it. 60.00 to inlet, bottom metal 209.00 + your cost to ship. Buy a mag or 2. I bought Alpha mag2. This is one of the best things I have done to my rifle. Worth the $.

No it does not include the price of a mag. Jeff's wait time is like 2 days, between shipping there and back about a week total. Great guy to deal with. Excellant craftsmanship. I ran my 6CM with both 10 round Alpha 2 mags fully loaded, functioned flawlessly, no hiccups, did not have to tweek anything. This is in a Savage Model 10 repeater.

I bought 3- 10 round mags from Alpha Industries last month. The cost was 62.00 each plus 8.00 shipping. These mags are the Alpha 2 mag which will allow you to load out to 2.90 without issue, also they are staggered so they don't hang as low as the 10 round AI mags.
