Savage LRPV 6BR - 1/8 Twist vs 1/12 - 70-80 grain bullet ?

I am still considering purchasing a Savage LRPV in 6BR. I would be most grateful for input.

Application is eastern woodchucks out to 400+ yards. I have been doing my homework and I want to use a 70-85 grain bullet.

Which twist of the Savage LRPV would work best. I am trying to figure out the freebore issue.

Many thanks

Steve

I own both barrels. The my 1:8 shoots 80s better and allows me to shoot 105s.

If those are the bullets you are set on using, then the 12tw is the one. My LRPV in 12tw shoots 75gr vmax, 80gr berger, and 87gr vmax all really well.
