Savage guys- single shot follower

i need a single shot follower. I stay mixed up on the many models they have had over the years. Its i think a 12fv (heavy fluted 308 with laminated stock) it has what appears to be a center feed blind magazine. I want a follower that fits into the action without regards to the magazine- this will be going into a br stock so solid bottom and no magazine inlet. Score hi which is who i use for remingtons say no center feed.

You could also take the AI mag sled, mill it down and bed it in the action/stock.

How bout no magazine even in the equation? Im putting this into a br stock. No magazine cutout is even going to be there. I need to put the follower in the action out of the stock and have it fill the cutout in the action like a solid bottom single shot would be

The Score High also says it wont fit the mag box. You wont be using the mag box. I'd call score high and see if they'll confirm.

I sent my Savage to Greg Tannel and had him fit one of his single shot round bottom followers and epoxied it in. As close to solid bottom as you can get.

I would think seeing as how you will use no magazine any 308 single shot plate that you can bed the stock for will work. Obviously you will have to attach it to the action then inlet the stock to fit. I actually considered doing this exact thing myself but couldnt find a stock preinlet for a 10/12 in a reasonable timeframe, cost, finish,and br style. I ended up ordering the boyd atone and im making bag riders for front and rear out of 1/2" aluminum. I will just continue to use my SSS single shot dbm adapter.

personally, what i have done is cut a longitudinal section of pvc pipe that fits just under the lip of the bolt guides. works for me, but feeding for you may depend on bullet style and seating length.

I think i have a couple of these will check this afternoon, have used them in the 110 actions with blind mag.

I would like to see and or order one. I'm in the same spot and dont even have a 223 internal mag. Feeding with nothing is the pits.
