Savage guys- single shot follower

I would like to see and or order one. I'm in the same spot and dont even have a 223 internal mag. Feeding with nothing is the pits.

I make a couple different designs right now. The one that was in the picture in a previous post and I have one with a box on the bottom which works for internal mag stocks.

Should have long action done soon. Been working on the design file and getting fitment as good as I can. Between work, family, fire department, etc it has taken longer than i had hoped.

This specific one requires a spring. But I can make it a little taller and the you can file to exact height needed.

I have a 6x223 on a LA, so mag will not work. Got a Score High and it helps but most of the time the bullet wedges into the barrel face. (they will fit in two ways and I have tried both) So I am looking for something that works or else I'll have to re-engineer the Score-High.

Would be easy to grind-to-work the 3-D. Keep us posted, please.

Do you want the spring based one or the one that you don't need a spring but have to file to fit exactly?

i need a single shot follower. I stay mixed up on the many models they have had over the years. Its i think a 12fv (heavy fluted 308 with laminated stock) it has what appears to be a center feed blind magazine. I want a follower that fits into the action without regards to the magazine- this will be going into a br stock so solid bottom and no magazine inlet. Score hi which is who i use for remingtons say no center feed.

I sent my Savage 110 LA 30/06 to Greg Tannel and he made one of this round bottom single shot followers to fit and epoxied it in. Nice job. Feeds smooth.

I finally got around to working on adapting my short action polymer single shot follower design to long action. Last print was very close. Think in a couple hours I will have the final design prototype finished and ready for production.

One thing I had to do for 223s is to bring the concave down on in the back, that way the round would come up further and not hit the face of the barrel.

First batch of long actions just came off the printer. Happy with them for v1. They fit in nice and snug but once I can fine some time will try to tweak some of the cosmetic aspects, like the 1.5mm in front of the follower before the feed ramp. But between work, family, FD, etc not sure when I will get around to it, these are functional sound so going to run with these for the time being.

Are you aware that there is a process on Thingiverse.com for those who like or use your STL print file to "tip" the designer? Usually people ask for a "cup of coffee" or a "beer", but I suppose you could mention that any tips will go to your FD. I have no idea how lucrative it might be, but it's easy enough to give it a try.

Help me out. I have the axis 243. Is this a stager feed or what. I am looking for a single shot follower. I have one on order that is supposed to replace the box magazine,but haven't heard anything from them. Is there any other place to get what I want or need. I don't understand the stager or straight feed thing.. thanks..
