Savage f/tr case - Pelican or Plano AirGlide

I have been searching and see a lot of info on both the pelican 1750 and the airglide from Plano.

Can anyone tell me for sure if the savage will fit in either safely? At 50" total length I don't have anything to transport it in.

I also need to transport my bipod and the nightforce br scope.

I have a few hard cases, and for the last several years they just sit at home. Why? Because I find it WAY more convenient to use soft cases. Lighter to haul, and much easier to stow in the car or back seats of the truck.

Here's what I use/recommend, including for rifles as long as the one you've described, with scope mounted: http://www.unclemikes.com/bags-cases/shotgun-rifle-cases/deluxe-soft-armor-gun-boot

However, if you have a honkin' huge scope in high rings, it may be tight. FWIW, I use these cases to tote Palma rifles with 30" barrels, and a prone rifle with 27" barrel and NF 5.5-22x50.

A couple of weeks ago, Amazon had these cases for just $28 apiece!
