Plano Airglide Case - will it fit

I'm looking into purchasing a Plano Airglide #1301 rifle case. Their site says internal is up to 50" but the external is only 51.5". I want to carry my rifle upright, as this case is designed for - 30" barrel plus tuner. Will it fit?

Answer: Probably not. I have a 30" barrel with no tuner and there is about 1/2" to spare and that is with a thin metal buttplate.

You should check with a borrowed airglide. If your stock is slightly shorter, it MIGHT fit, but it will be very, very close.

A friend's 30" F-T/r will not fit, and he has no tuner.

My 30" 6mmBR will not come close to fitting in mine.

Easy fix, use a dremel tool to cut a round hole in the end and put a plastic cap over your barrel end. I have two and love them; both guns have 30" BBL's extending maybe 1".

Lynn, It would depend on the action,a Bat with a 30" and a brake goes in. A Panda with a 29" and a brake won't.......jim

youll have to measure the whole gun & go from there i had a factory savage f class 30in. barrel it wouldnt fit but my dremeal tool solved that my bat actined 30in gun fits nicely regards shooter63
