savage f-class & lapua

Hello, I'm new to posting here but I've been lurking around for a long time. i just got a new Savage 12 f-class and bought 3 boxes of the Lapua loaded rounds with the 105gn bullets. Are they very good? I have not gotten them yet, they are supposed to get here Tuesday. i am really looking forward to shooting the new rifle. what kind of groups should i expect? I've seen others groups and i don't want to get my hopes to high if the rifle cant do what i was hoping for. thanks for any help in advance

Welcome... I have been thinking of going the same route. Let us know how it shoots when you get your ammo.

From everything I have read about the ammo it shoots pretty darn good.

well i got to shoot it finally. I got the ammo in yesterday. I did 13 shots today at clost to 100 yards, 3 to zero, cleaning in between each, then 2 five shot groups. The first one was right at 1" with the ccb, then I cleaned again then another. the last was right at 1/2 inch with the ccb. I will be shooting it more at longer ranges sunday. I will be shooting at 300 and 385 yards. how far should i bring it up after i comfirm the 100yd zero?

I shot some more today, although the wind was 20-30mph and the temp ouside was 15 without the windchill, so i didnt shoot long. I shot at 100 to confirm the zero. the group was around 1/2 inch with the ccb, without that one shot it was under 1/4". I then moved out to 300 it took a few groups to get it on the paper, but they were about 3" the one i got on the shoot and see was right at 4" i didnt read the wind very well, they were strung out in a line left to right. we shot 3 shots at the gong at 400 all 3 of us had 1 shot to hit the smallest gong which was something like 6"X3". we all hit it first shot. all together i am really inpressed with this new rifle, its the best early christmas present i've gotten.
