the gunshack in Texas has a bunch of savage parts, more things than I have seen at other places and they ship fast
Gary, Jim and I both had those extractors on our LEB2 .308's. We purchased them together at the same time back in the day. Both had very quick wear issues and we bought replacements and it went away. Savage realized they had goofed up and changed the extractor material years ago.I keep a good stock of bolthead replacement parts on hand. This is primarily for when I screw a new barrel on the bolthead gets rebuilt, also just incase an issue arises like the OP I have them. The rifle goes back into service quickly.Beryllium copper extractor broke ? Never broke one . Maybe Savage doesnt use them anymore, probably replaced with MIM parts
