Savage Aftermarket Trigger -- Best Options?

I have tried after markets for a Savage Accutrigger. Currently have Sav 2 installed in 2 rifles. Is there a best new replacement through 2022 that someone might recommend? The Sav is not a bad choice just not crisp or dependable below 1 pound. I won’t wait for Evolution but heard Jard might be better.
Ideas appreciated, thanks.
 
Been running several PTA's with red blade triggers for several years
I can go reliably to 12 ounces. Sent a Jard back with issues. I also have
a Sav-2, that was no better, reinstalled the accu-triggers which I'm used
to, and shooting 2 matches this weekend. There is news in the wind
about Trigger Tech having one in R&D. I'm not like most that need
that light of a trigger on a 17 lb and over rifle. Mine break clean at 12
ounces and I'm good with that. I can't imagine shooting these triggers
on a 10/12 light gun though.

Thanks, I will look to the future. Spent some time cutting springs on accu before red blade but still wasn’t happy. Appreciate the response.
 
After Kevin Rayhill timed and trued mine I can beat on the butt with a dead blow with the Sav II set at 7oz. He claims timing is the most important factor for reducing trigger pull. I have a couple at 8-9oz that I can also beat on without dropping the firing pin. A Jewel, they are not. I would like to try a JARD.
 
I have a Jard in 2 savages, I run them at 1 pound pull weight on varmint rifles. The other 2 I own would have them if they were shot much.
 
I have an F-open rifle in 6 Dasher built on a Savage "target" action. The Savage Accu-trigger worked OK, but was not very consistant. I changed it in the begining of 2021, replacing it with an ELF. The ELF is a really consistant trigger, but not as light as I would like. I have been able to get it down to about 1# and find it very easy to shoot.
 
I’m in the process of transitioning from savages to customs. Wholesale change. I know they can shoot, but in the grand scheme of things it isn’t worth the hassle. Triggers matter. So if anyone needs a pta 3.4 in a real nice mcrees chassis, bushed with a lift kit, it’ll be on here soon. Hopefully this doesn’t qualify as a thread hijack?
 
Nothing that low, using a Timney and Sav-2.

First time one released when closing the bolt (unloaded) scared me and they are at 2 lbs now. No issues since.

I'm convinced it is a tolerance stack issue. And guess what savages have in spades... tolerances
 
I have a model 12 with a trigger set below 3 oz. works flawlessly. Of course it was one of Fred Moreo's before he stopped making them, BR trigger and only installed by him after timing and truing the action. I also have a PTA set at 7 oz. that works as it should.
I have since started using Kelby actions with Jewel triggers set at 2 oz.
 
Not to derail, I had issues with a Rifle Basix. Beyond frustrating. A email correspondence with JARD and I am happy. Is it a Jewel or Timiney, no. The JARD replaced the unreliable RB, bought the rig second hand, so I didn’t have the red blade original trigger.
I read a fair bit on the JARD and saw several negative reviews. My options were slim and after emails with them I felt a lot better. The JARD in design replaces all of the factory stamped parts from Savage, much like the SSS trigger does. So with a complete trigger assembly, I can see the extra cost and I won’t whine about it.

I will mention that I also am chasing some after market actions and am very happy with those as well. There are some out there that have a Savage thread and Remington foot print, you can then purchase what the majority deems to be the “best” triggers and still play with a Savage nut if you so desire.
 
Bighorn and ARC actions + TT Diamond, no comparison and no complaints on cost difference.

I think there may be something lost in what the OP started asking. I am a Savage guy and they can be an excellent shooter. A BR shooter closing the bolt very softly compared to say a PRS guy running it briskly, I don’t see a factory Savage trigger not needing to be reset fairly often or being handed a DQ.
 
I have a Jard 3 lever trigger I believe they are advertised 7-11oz or there abouts. I set mine to where I couldn't get it to slamfire no matter how hard I slammed the bold down and it has been set there for a couple years at 3.6oz. The 3 lever is a drop in that does not use the factory sear, best I have used. JME
