Savage 6BR LRPV - dished bolt face

I had problems w/ a new LRPV 22-250..I called Savage..they sent me a call tag..ups picked the rifle ( in a hard case ) from my house..Savage had the rifle back in 2 weeks..fixed..no cost to me..their customer service is tops.this rifle shoots so good, I bought another in 6mm br..which shoots even better..I have a Sako 75 custom single shot 308 and a custom 700 243..and these Savage factory rifles shoot as good or better..like the man said..please leave the Savages for the rest of us

Moorepower is certainly correct on that. Recent Remingtons that I have examined show a lot of short cuts. I have a 1978 40XBR that looks like somebody cared. Current examples do not.

The flip side is that the 40XBR price, in inflation-adjusted 1978 dollars, would easily buy you a custom action that requires no attention. This may be an instance when you get your money's worth.

Guys Savage has put out a lot of good rifles in these long range guns . some shoot real well some are just ok this one is not . This is why guys like me are in business to true actions and correct mistakes off the production lines . Savage is no different than the 40X rem. or any other high quanity production rifle most of them need work . going against popular belief savages need to be trued just like most production guns . Sorry for your troubles with this rifle, it is a shame . The Rifler www.therifler.com
