Savage 12F/TR 223

[Fellas]

I am looking to buy an out of the box accurate factory rifle in .223 Remington to shoot like 300 yards not more because of our limitations in my country.This rifle caught my eye any suggestion ,reviews will be very helpful.

My shooting buddy uses one in 600 F-T/r. At 200 it will shoot well inder 1/2". I have been very impressed with it.

I shoot mine in 600 yard F-TR against the 308's. There is a lot of snickering before the match, but not afterwards. In my last match, I won two of the three 20 round relays, and it wasn't the guns fault that I didn't win the third one. She loves 80 grain Berger VLD's and Varget.

Mine is the Savage 12F/TR, 30" Barrel, 7 Twist, Savage part number 18890.

My savage f/tr 223 shoots 1/4" or less at 100 yards with berger 82grain and varget. Cant go wrong.

buddy of mine has the 223 in a savage f/tr and it shoots great he shoots 1k with it load is lapua brass , small rifle magnum primer, 90gr burger vlds and 25gr of reloader 15 they run 2850 with no pressure problems he shot a 560 and 574/6x at alliance rifle club this year. i have a 223 in a savage lrpv 1/7 it shoots real good to 1.25 at 400yds same load as before and the f/tr has over 2000rounds through it and nothing done to it he is going to rebarrel it this winter and im getting his old barrel and rechambering it into a 220 swift with a 1/7 see how that shoots with 80gr

Savage makes a "Varminter" model .223 for Cabellas . List is 750$ on sale I payed 650$ SS med-barrel 10lbs. accustock and trigger.

It comes with a 1-9 twist that allows the 34's - 75's however the 53 V-Max at 300 yards is the best with 8208XBR powder.

It's easily the best grouping bullet to date. 1/2moa out to 300 yards on a good day.

No better rifle for the $$$

This is my 308 model same make, the 22-250 and .223 look the same. They have a 24" fluted barrel.

With this rifle you have many options as far as shooting varmints to targets, with the Savage 12F/TR 223 you shoot paper. (twist)
