savage 12 mounts

I have a new Savage 12VLP DBM comming and I wante? to get mounts. There is a flat rear mount and a round rear mount. Does anyone know for sure which one I need. This gun is listed as a low profile.

My LRPV took #46's, and I think pretty much all of the newer Accutrigger models use the 46 or 46S (silver), bases. Have a look at this mount chart:

I also have a new VLP, and you need the round rear mount. A pair of 46's from Weaver, or EGW/Bench Source/etc 1 piece bases. As far as I know all Savages take the round/round mounts these days.

EGW has a nice mount in 20 moa for Savege rifles that is three inches longer allows more scope mounting position can't think of number at this time.
