Savage 12 ftr

I have savage 12 ftr I’m changing the barrel. Not going the prefit route going to use a Kreiger HV contour. Does anyone know if it’ll fit in the factory stock without modifications?

I think i would measure the bbl at the hard points: at lug, length till taper starts and rate of taper. Compare this to what you have, noting present clearance.
Go to Krieger site and see how they match up.

I have similar set with a Bartlein Heavy Varmint in a Savage FTR stock. I had to do some minor sanding in the barrel channel to get clearance. It wasn’t bad at all.
