savage 110

hey men, my friend has a savage 110 that is about 30 years old, is it a good candidate to build on and if so what all entails in truing the action? Thanks, SPM

Depends in part on the spacing between the action screws. Best deal on the action is to send it to Fred at Sharp Shooter Supply. He has done 3 actions for me. $105 to time and true. There are a couple of aftermarket trigger options including the one that SSS sells. Stocks are the harder part. As Savage has changed the distance between the action screws some stocks are hard to come by. I don't know when Savage when to the common configuration found in most long action staggered magazine actions.
