Few months back I picked up a Savage 110 Tactical in 308 this is the one with the 24” barrel.
I now broken it in and this gun shoot incredible. 155 Berger VLD Hunting 1/2“ @100 150 NBTs sub 5/8” 125 NBT 1” 150 Nosler CT 1/2”. The thing that amazed me it it shoots them all real well. This is a bone stock gun I have done nothing but clean and shoot it. I upgraded the scope today and will re-zero when I have time.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced hunting or target gun I would definitely recommend this one.

I have a handful Savages. All with Chief Lame Deer logo and only one of the newer ones (mod-11, 7mm08 Left hand for my brothers hunting needs).

Other manufacturers have copied many of the Savages innovations, but it's rare to see a Savage not shoot good from the factory.

Here is a pic of a model 11, I got in 2012 shot exactly as it came from the factory with 80 gr Factory ( Federal or Remington ) cheapest ammo.
Off Bi-pod.. not sure if I dropped the left shot or it was the ammo.
Very hot day and scorching hot barrel :D

My Brothers first Savage I got him in 2012. Mod-10 FCP-K.
Factory fluting and muzzle brake. Only bi-pod and scope are not factory. Thing was a laser too.

I had an early 2000's Sav 10FP 20" 308 that shot in the .1's with just factory match , not even hand loads and factory trigger before I relpaced it with an SSS trigger. I Have that target laying around somewhere. It was 100yrd with a 10x weaver scope at the time.

I have a 110 in 7mm rem mag. 30 yrs old. Never over 1” at 100 yds. Years ago at the range , a young man at the next bench at the range said he’d never shot a 7mm RM. He proceeded to cloverleaf 3shots, with MY gun. ! I suspect he was military, as his hair was high and tight! Best now group is .349”. Borescope shows lands are chewed up for about 2 inches up the spout. Not gonna rebarrel until groups grow. So, yeah, Savages can shoot with the right nut behind the bolt!

I have a non-accutrigger 300winmag, and it's not hard to tune the older triggers down to 1.5 lbs.
Besides honing and the usual, I used part of a Safety pin to keep the trigger under tension.
Works flawlessly and is just as safe as the original. Slapping the bolt handle closed doesn't release the sear.
I've worked on several different rifle triggers including SKS which are simple but take lots of work to lighten the trigger and get rid of the huge amount of creep.

I started target shooting with a Savage 10T in 308. It was 1/2 moa out of the box with Fed Gold Medal 175gr. Honestly, my handloads can't get that much better, probably average .4", with ranges from .25" to .55".

The biggest surprise is a cheapo 12V in 22-250 I bought from Cabelas on sale for $250. I put a Rifle Basix trigger, and bedded an AL bar in the floppy forend, and it shoots 53 Vmaxes into one hole at 3600 fps.

OK I am not a Savage guy, so I did a search for the chief lame deer logo. I got a lot of the one that Zero 333 posted and bunch of weird stuff, but none i could swear were the chief lame deer logo.. Can someone post the real chief lame deer logo. My daughter says I am out of touch with reality, maybe she is right.

You're correct about this rifle and I've seen them in action to some distance. I would recommend them also.
I'm a big Savage fan. I hate the new logo, love the Chief logo. I have several laying around somewhere that came off the bottom of the pistol grip of the stock.

Savage used to (maybe still does) have this in their Biography. Sometime 10 or 11 years ago some woke mentally ill idiots in Australia saw The Savage Arms logo (the one I originally posted) hanging inside a gun-store window and went ape shit saying Savage Arms logo represents North American Indians to be Savages !!! This bullshit spread all over and Savage Arms got pressured to change their logo, which they did sometime around 2014 -2015 if I remember correctly.

I have the 110 tactical in 6.5 cm. Shoots great. A buddy of mine thats a rem 700 fan could not believe the accuracy i was getting with it even at 1,025 yards.
