I have had much success with this rifle chambered in 7.62X39 and the 110 grain V-Max thought I would try a medium game type bullet in it. I decided on the Barnes TTSX in the same weight in hopes to keep the velocity up a bit. I stayed with the AA1680 powder in a Lapua case but ignited it with a BR-2 primer. Due to its length I could fill the magazine but still not touch the rifling. I didn't chrono it as it was raining here in South Central PA but I'm not complaining we need the water(tongue in cheek)! I may take it to NC in November and see what kind of terminal ballistics it possesses. Checked out JBM with a hypothetical MV of 2600 fps and it should be good on Whitetails to 250 yards.
