How many did you bring home? Hope you have the grandkids well outfitted for the future. My youngest and I went to a job I was doing and removed a screen room and scrapped the aluminum. We took our scrap money and she and i each added $75 to the pot and bought her an Interarms mini-Mauser in 223. Now that she is grown up and too cool to shoot anymore, I doubt it has been shot in 10 years.

I've got two L461's. One shown is all original save for the Canjar single set trigger; Vixen in 223. Bofors steel, great little rifle. I took it to SD in 2000 shooting PD's, and it did very well during walkabouts as a break from bench shooting.

The other one is a .17 Mach IV, currently resting in a Boyd's T/H stock, Shilen SS barrel. That one is in limbo as I'm deciding if I want to turn it into another 20VT/rebarrel.

As Frank deHaas once said..."no one ever said anything bad about a Sako". True words there.

I've been on the lookout for one of these in 222, and if I find that unicorn, she's comin' home with me.

I need another gun like I need more nose hair. He had 22 Sakos for sale. I bid on 5 of them, then I was down to 2. The cheapest one went for $1300. It was a re-barreled 223 with a laminate stock. The ones I wanted, a 222 and 6ppc were over $2000. I did get 12 lbs of powder, 2000 7 1/2 primers, sone OLD hoppes #9. And boxes of cleaning materials. So no, no Sako for me.

Were I’m located they have a sportsman auction every other month at least 500 firearms at every auction I cringe at what people pay it’s almost like they have endless pockets the last auction the had a weatherby 224 varmenter yes it was very nice final bid $4800 plus fee plus tax it really blows my mind

Here's the link. You can look at the final bids. They were pretty much solid rifles. Most bids I couldn't argue with... except after you add the buyers premium then it's questionable (18.5% discounted to 15% for cash or check day after auction, just call it 20 - 23% when you figure sales tax...).

Just looking at the offerings from the auction those prices are actually pretty good I didn’t realize they all had scopes it’s the fees that really hurt
