Sako .222 info. needed

Hi y'all.
I've recently come across a Sako rifle chambered in .222 and was wondering if anyone knew anything about these rifle or a place on the web where I might find some. It's a very nice looking rifle in very good shape and, excuse the spelling, it has the Riikihami action. I'm just wondering what kind of reputation these rifles might have. I'm not real familiar with Sako's.

Thanks,
Steve.

Sounds like you've got yourself a model L46. Is there a sizeable hunk of steel on the back of the bolt with the safety on it?

I've never owned an L46 myself. I wasn't fond of the safety on the bolt and I didn't want to tie any money up for something to just put in the safe. That being said, someday, I would like to have a couple of them. They are well made and the one you have will likely shoot great, provided someone hasn't abused it.

There's an MSN group Sako Collector's Club that gets some activity and the board at Saubier has quite a few Sako fans on it. That's really all I know about resources on the web.

Sakos are without a doubt my favorite factory rifle, especially the L461 and A1 actions--the successors to the one that you have. No one else that I know of makes such a nice little action for small cases.
