Sloughhouse Benchrest Shooters held the last monthly IR50/50 match of the year at the Sac Valley Shooting Center yesterday, and although missing a few of our regulars still had 7 shooters show up to challenge the infamous Ione Triangle. Temps started out the morning a chilly (for us Californians) 30* with frost on the ground, warming up to the low 50's by 12:00. The winds were our typical switchy tailwind out of the SW, but milder then usual rarely more then half a tail.
Those who could read the conditions, or were patient enough were rewarded with some good scores. I was not one of them!
We shot two 3-Card Aggs, and then combined them for the OAL 6-Card Agg (aka "The Money Match).
Match One:
Target 1 was won by Brett Berger with a 249-21x, Ron Chisick 2nd with 2 248-19x, Mike Phillips 3rd at 248-10x
Target 2 was won by Randy Kirkbride on a FM tiebreaker with a 250-15x, Ron 2nd also with a 250-15x, Brett 3rd with a 250-12x
(that's more 250's then we normally see for a whole match here at Sac!)
Target 3 was won by Randy with a 249-17x, Ron right behind at 249-16x, Brett 3rd with a 247-13x
Match 1 Agg:
1st: Ron Chisick 747-50x
2nd Brett Berger 746-46x
3rd Randy Kirkbride 744-43x
Match 2:
Target 1 was won by Ron Chisick steering his vintage 40X to a 250-17x (HS for the day), Brett 2nd at 249-13x, Randy 3rd at 246-12x. (I'm detecting a trend!)
Target 2 was won by Brett with a 249-13x, Ron taking 2nd on a FM tiebreaker at 247-15x, Randy 3rd also with a 247-15x.
Target 3 was won by Randy with a 248-18x, Brett 2nd with a 248-13x, Ron 3rd at 248-10x
Match 2 Agg:
1st: Brett Berger 746-39
2nd: Ron Chisick 745-42x
3rd: Randy Kirkbride 741-45x
The 6-Card OAL Aggregate also known as "The Money Match"

We may have a orientation match early next year with a few of us bringing extra equipment/ammo for interested
shooters to get their feet wet in a "competitive" aka "fun" environment. More info to follow stay tuned.
