We held our monthly double 3-Card IR50/50 match this last Saturday, and the 9 shooters who showed up enjoyed a warm morning of RF shooting.
The Ione Triangle breezes were surprisingly mild for this time of year although the usual letup/reverse certainly requiring your full attention!
Temps were mild starting in the low 70's, climbing to the low 90's by the time we wrapped it up @ 12:00. We had one new (to us) shooter join us, Wayne Johnson who is a long time member of our BOD. He enjoyed trying out his CZ457 at our competition and we hope to see him again!
Results are as follows:
Card 1 was won by Brett Berger with a 250-17x, just beating out Marcus Byrne's 250-16x, followed by Pierre Bigras 3rd with a 249-13x
Card 2 was taken by Marcus with a 249-19x just beating my 249-18x, Brett 3rd with 249-16x.
Card 3 was won by yours truly with my only 250 of the day with 15x. Pierre was 2nd with a 249-10x, Marcus 3rd with a 248-16x.
The 1st 3-Card Agg results:
1st Place: Marcus Byrne 747-51x
2nd Place: Greg Wilson 747-48x
3rd Place: Brett Berger 746-48x
We moved on to the 2nd agg as the breezes were starting to pick up and get more twitchy, with the famous Ione Triangle "reverse" condition which looks shootable but never lasts.
Repeat after me "Do not shoot the reverse"!!
Card 1 was won by Marcus with a nice 250-14x (the only 250 of the Agg), followed by Pierre at 249-15x, Mike Phillips a close 3rd at 249-14x.
Card 2 was again taken by Marcus with a 248-17x, Brett 2nd at 247-13x, France Lee 3rd at 247-12x.
Card 3 was won by me with a 247-17x, just squeaking past Marcus' 247-15x in 2nd, Mike Phillips 246-10x good for 3rd.
The 2nd 3-Card Agg results:
1st Place: Marcus Byrne 745-46x
2nd Place: Greg Wilson 742-46x
3rd Place: Pierre Bigras 735-34x
The 6-Card Grand Aggregate aka "The Money Match"
$5.00 of your entry fee goes to the following awards:
"Gold" Dollars for the card winners and then a 40/30/20/10% split for the top 4 places in the 6-card Grand Agg.
