Russian primers

The red top box looks like what most guys are using, but the price is way to high. You should be able to find them for
$ 15.00 to $ 17.00 a thousand.

Paul, that's them. The green box is the lead-free and the red is the standard. Apart from that designation, there is magnum and standard cup thickness and the magnum is far better suited to almost any modern rifle load. Look for red box magnum. I don't know what the currency conversion is from NZ or other factors,duty, etc.) so I have no idea whether the price quoted is a good one.

Hi here in Australia i have tested them under the PMC brand look for them they should be available there. the price is about right we can get them for around $32 in bulk and they reccomend retail at $40 we have to pay up to $65 for Fed GM standard primers and $75 for Mag primers. as said above use the Mag primers the cups are harder and with hot loads you get nice little holes in the standard small rifle primers.
