Sellier and Bellot Primers.....anyone using them?

I have shot thousands of their pistol primers , they are soft not hard like some say... Always went bang... The only problem I have run into is in .38 spl were there's not much powder in the case and they don't burn all the powder.. Changing to any American primer stops this problem.... In 9 mm etc they work fine just not as hot as a Fed , CCI or Winchester primer and it can be seen on a crono... If you can catch them on sale for $19.99 a thousand they are definitely worth a try...

There are some test that have been published on this site that showed very low ES/SD with them in rifle calibers...

Dont know about their rifle primers but their pistol primers (for me, in my brass, in my guns) difficult to seat and cups too hard. Many click and no bang.
Really..? I find them soft and have never had a failure in thousands and thousands of them... In any brass in 9 mm..... Useing Glocks and Beretta pistols , as I posted there not as hot as CCI , Fed or Winchester primers for sure... Maybe you got a bad lot.... I am surprised to hear you have had problems.... The only problem I have ever had is them not setting off.38spl because of the case only being a quarter full of win. 231 which is position sensitive... A change of powders might even cure that problem but it's what I use....

Matter of fact... they make brass for Winchester. I have used several lots of US made Win and the S&B made for Win brass of the same caliber. The S&B held much longer.

Asking anyone with recent purchase Winchester brass does it say Made in USA on the bag or box or something else ?? thanks

Cant see how an american ammunition mfr with equipment thats been paid for for 50yrs would farm out their brass overseas unless it was for better quality match ammo.

The Winchester 284 Win brass I bought a couple months has Made in USA on the bags.

I guess it's failry safe to say that to the extent we can easily determine, SB is not Winchester brass and vice versa. I recall over 20 years ago picking up about 40 SB 8x57 and eagerly taking them home and re-sizing. But none of my federal primers would fit, they are all "high". No matter how well I cleaned the pockets.

I've read many very good reviews on those primers. The reviews were by competitive shooters and the most common comments were lower SD and ES.

Well I hope that the SR primers work as well as some of my friends that are competitive long range shooters say that they do. Because I just ordered 4K from Cabelas. Time will tell if I can get my S/D's cut in half like some are claiming. I'm at 6-10 S/D now so if that number goes down even a couple of counts I'll be impressed.
