Rumors and Camp Perry

I herd this "rumor" bouncing around a few weeks after the Long Range events, and I was woundering if any one else has herd rumors of shooters cheating?

I was told the shooters name in confidence, and will not give up that information, But I would like to know if anyone else has herd about this????/

Havnt heard a thing. What kind of cheating?? Caliber for Palma or a position that not leagal or changing of the score card or what?

from what i herd it delt with the pit crew calling shot location back to the shooter via cell phone bluetooths under their earmuffs.....

The only time that would really help anybody would be in a rapid fire or IT match.

not realy. If your round was a 8 at 3 o'clock, say 12 inches from the X, the pit crew could send that back to the shooter to make the proper sight adjustment

Yeah, and if it's slow fire you're going to see the big white spotter exactly where it hit when they run the target up. At most, you save a second or two since you can make your sight adjustment while the target is still in the pits.

Rapid fire matches are a different story, however. It'd be a huge advantage there.

If it was someone with not alot of experince and there freind was in the Butts and gave the correction in MOA that would be COACHING which is not allowed for record fire in LONG Range which is what I belive the topic is. No Rapid Fire Long Range, though that might be fun to try. ; )

I could see some one doing this not Knowing any better with the electronic Device on the Line and in the pit with a new fella trying to make Camp Perry a good experience for him or her. But as fast as the wind changes @ 1000 it would most likely mess a fella up I would think.

Non the less Coaching and Electronic devices at the Nationals is a NO NO.

I think you should take it as the name calls it. A RUMOR!!

Any person in the pits next to the fellow target puller will know if it happens.

I do not buy any of this, unless it was a social event.
