Rugged Buddy legs

After watching the video on building a portable shooting bench, wanted to upgrade mine, built on the Black & Decker Workmate base. Have gone to Home Depot, Lowe's and numerous other outlets and the "Rugged Buddy" legs are not available, here in Southwestern Pennsylvania. For that matter, neither are any other type of folding table legs. Went on-line and found them at "Woodworker's Supply", 1125 Jay Lane, Graham North Carolina, (336) 578-0500. Available in 34" and 28" height. Additional note: Just telephone ordered a set of the 28" legs. With the thickness of the top (3/4") plus the underside mounting board (another 3/4"), the total height would be 35 1/2", too high for me. 28" legs will put the table top at 29 1/2".

Received the "Buddy" legs yesterday and attached them to my existing bench top. The legs are of very high quality, bench is more solid than the base I was using with the Black & Decker Workmate, lighter in weight, and less bulky. Also a lot quicker to setup in the field. 28" legs with a finish height of 29 1/2" keeps the bench low to the ground with a low center of gravity, and works well with the Harris 6"-9" bipod. Excellent advice on building a "do-it-yourself" portable shooting bench/table. :)

Good to hear. I've been thinking about getting some ever since I read the article in the daily bulletin. Looks like I'm gonna have to go ahead and order some.
