Ruger precision 6.5 creedmoor load data?

I finally got my hands on the Ruger precision 6.5 creedmoor. I would like to start reloading for this but having some issues finding a good load to start. I've been shooting hornady A-Max 140 grain seems to be working the best. Any suggestions?

Neil;
I have been a member on 6.5creedmoor.com for a while now, and there's quite a bit of reload info there. I also recently received a 6.5 RPR, quite the Rifle.

Have you tried using the reload data that Hornady supplies for its 140 Amax match loads?
It is easily available and that recipe reportedly works well for a variety of rifles.

First things first, try and get your hands on some H4350. It is the benchmark powder for the 6.5 CM/260 Rem cartridges, just like Varget and 308W.

41.5gr H4350 and 140gr A-Max loaded to approximately 2.810" OAL

Brian; I used this particular load in my 6.5 RPR and got the flattest primers you'd ever want to see. I did however load them out to 2.820". I went back to do another ladder test to make sure I didn't screw up the load data, just haven't had time to shoot.

Bryan;
I am using CCI primers. Would have used Winchester but couldn't find any to buy. Also using 140gr Hornady ELD-M set at 2.820". I measured the chamber; 2.886 to the lands.

Use IMR4350 for this load.

Neil I've owned 3 6.5 Creedmoor's and the A Max shoots well in all of them. I also was shooting Berger Hybrid 140s. 42.5 gr. H-4350 with Fed match primers was my go to load for 2 of the rifles. The 140s shot better than any thing else. Try from 41.5 on up to where you see pressure signs. You should find an accurate load in there somewhere. Also try to get the bullets touching the rifling if the mags will allow.

This cartridge will shoot great.

You may find your best luck with Varget and 140gr hybrids??? Most guys are finding best loads with H4350 or Varget.. Remember, to work up with Varget it's hot in this cartridge..
