Thanks for the info. Only shooting out to 800 right now, and I like the perceived less recoil. But that just might be all in my head. Of the 13 different bullets with multiple powders I've tried in this rifle it seems to like this one, but can't seem to find a faster than 2800 accuracy node.No issues here. I have shot a couple boxes of them through a few different rifles. My only problem with them is that they are not 140gr. I keep going back to the heavier bullets.
Thanks Texas 10. Also found my first node @ 40.5 @ 30 thousands off going 2650 @ 28°(Strelok calculates 2775 @ 80°) 42.1 gave me 2785 with SD 2 & ES 4 with almost as good (0.350)accuracy but when I go any higher I get pressure signs in my Star Line LR brass. H4350 gave me eratic numbers and accuracy all the way around, so I quit trying to make it work.I started out loading my 6.5CM with RL-17 and 130 gr. Berger VLD jumping .010
40.5 grains of RL-17 gave me and average of 2821 fps, SD 1.8 and ES 5 and about 1/3 moa groups.
My faster load was 43.0 RL-17 producing 2942 fps and SD 4, ES 11 using my Magnetospeed chrono. but much larger groups at about 1 moa. I tried similar loads using H4350 and RL-17 under 142SMK at 1000 yds. H4350 was more consistent at near identical velocities.
As always, start low and work up. YMMV.
